Creamy Bacon-Stuffed Dorito Chicken: A Crunchy Delight

Creamy Bacon-Stuffed Dorito Chicken is a crunchy, cheesy, and satisfying dinner made with juicy chicken breasts stuffed with cream cheese, cheddar, and bacon. It’s coated in crushed Nacho Cheese Doritos for a bold, crispy exterior and baked to perfection. This family-friendly dish is easy to prepare and full of comforting flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 6 slices cooked turkey bacon, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 cups crushed Doritos (Nacho Cheese flavor)
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (for greasing the pan or optional light frying)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.

In a bowl, mix cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, chopped turkey bacon, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until combined.

Cut a pocket into the side of each chicken breast. Be careful not to cut all the way through.

Stuff each chicken breast with the cream cheese mixture. Secure with toothpicks if needed.

Set up a dredging station with three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with crushed Doritos.

Coat each stuffed chicken breast in flour, then dip in egg, and finally press into crushed Doritos to coat well.

Place the coated chicken breasts into the prepared baking dish.

Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the coating is crispy. You can also lightly fry the coated chicken in a skillet with olive oil for 2–3 minutes per side before baking for extra crispiness.

Remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • You can use regular pork bacon instead of turkey for a richer flavor.

  • Be sure to crush Doritos just enough to maintain texture—not into a fine powder.

  • Stuffed chicken can be assembled and refrigerated a day in advance.

  • Let the chicken rest after baking to keep it juicy and intact.

  • Use toothpicks to keep the filling secure inside the chicken.
