It’s an ideal recipe for two, small gatherings, or meal prep.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 boneless turkey breast (2.5 to 3 pounds), thawed if frozen
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium chicken broth

Instructions

Pat the turkey breast dry with paper towels.

In a small bowl, mix together the salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, rosemary, and paprika.

Rub the olive oil all over the turkey breast, then coat it evenly with the seasoning mixture.

Place the turkey breast in the slow cooker, skin-side up if it has skin.

Pour the chicken broth into the bottom of the slow cooker (not over the turkey).

Cover and cook on low for 5 to 6 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.

Optional: For crispy skin, transfer the cooked turkey to a baking sheet and broil in the oven for 4–5 minutes until browned.

Let the turkey rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve with your favorite sides.

Notes

  • Use a digital thermometer to prevent overcooking.

  • For a richer flavor, mix garlic herb butter under the skin (if applicable).

  • Broiling is optional but enhances the texture and appearance.

  • Let the turkey rest for 10 minutes before slicing to keep it juicy.

  • The gravy thickens as it cools; adjust with a splash of broth if needed when reheating.
