Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Glass

  • Rub a lemon wedge around the rim of your glass.

  • Dip the rim into a shallow plate of sugar and twist gently to coat.

  • Set the glass aside while you prepare the drink.

Step 2: Combine Ingredients

  • In a cocktail shaker or mason jar, add:

    • 5 oz fresh pineapple juice

    • 1 oz fresh lemon juice

    • Optional: Β½ oz simple syrup or honey

    • Optional: 1 tsp orange juice concentrate

  • Fill the shaker with ice.

Step 3: Shake It

  • Shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until cold and lightly frothy.

Step 4: Serve

  • Fill your sugar-rimmed glass with fresh ice.

  • Strain the mixture into the glass.

  • Optional: Top with a splash of sparkling water.

  • Garnish with a lemon slice or pineapple wedge.

Notes

  • Fresh is best: Use freshly squeezed pineapple and lemon juice whenever possible for the brightest flavor.

  • Adjust to taste: Add more honey or syrup for extra sweetness, or more lemon juice for extra zing.

  • Chill your glass in the freezer before serving for an extra-cool experience.

  • Crushed ice gives a slushier texture, while ice cubes keep things chilled longer.

  • Want to make it ahead? Mix the juices and sweetener in advance, and shake with ice right before serving.

  • To make a kid-friendly punch, multiply ingredients by 5, and serve in a large pitcher with fruit slices.
