OR

1 tablespoon granulated sugar

½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

Sweet Filling

2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted and cooled

2 tablespoons brown sugar, packed

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Finishing Touch

Powdered sugar, for dusting (optional)

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat and Prep

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  • Grease 6 cups of a standard muffin tin or spray with non-stick baking spray.

Step 2: Prepare the Dough

  • Lightly flour a surface and unroll the crescent dough.

  • Pinch all seams together to create one large sheet.

  • Roll out with a rolling pin to form a smooth rectangle (approx. 10×14 inches).

Step 3: Add the Filling

  • Brush the dough surface with melted butter.

  • Evenly sprinkle with brown sugar and ground cinnamon.

Step 4: Add the Peaches

  • Spoon the peach filling evenly over the dough.

  • Spread gently, leaving a ½-inch border around the edges.

Step 5: Roll and Slice

  • Roll the dough tightly into a log from the long edge.

  • Using a sharp knife, slice the log lengthwise to reveal layers.

Step 6: Twist and Coil

  • Twist each half like a rope, keeping the layers facing up.

  • Coil each twisted strip into a spiral and tuck into the prepared muffin cups.

Step 7: Bake

  • Bake for 18–22 minutes, until golden brown and cooked through.

  • Allow to cool in the muffin tin for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Step 8: Finish and Serve

  • Dust with powdered sugar (optional).

  • Serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

  • Dough Tip: Use chilled dough for easier handling and clean layers.

  • Peach Substitutes: Try apples, cherries, or berries for seasonal twists.

  • Filling Control: Don’t overfill to avoid leakage during baking.

  • Storage: Store in an airtight container at room temp for 2 days or refrigerate for up to 5 days.

  • Freezing: Wrap cooled cruffins tightly and freeze up to 1 month. Reheat at 350°F for 8–10 minutes.
