Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 large eggs
  • 3 tablespoons cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 small jalapeño, finely diced (seeds removed for less heat)
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons cooked and crumbled turkey bacon
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh chives (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Place eggs in a saucepan and cover with water. Bring to a boil, then remove from heat and let sit for 10 minutes. Transfer eggs to an ice bath to cool.
  2. Peel the eggs and slice them in half lengthwise. Remove the yolks and place them in a mixing bowl.
  3. Mash the yolks with a fork, then add cream cheese, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, diced jalapeño, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix until smooth.
  4. Stir in shredded cheddar cheese and half of the crumbled turkey bacon.
  5. Spoon or pipe the filling back into the egg whites.
  6. Garnish with remaining turkey bacon and chopped chives. Serve chilled.

Notes

  • Spice Level: For a milder version, remove the jalapeño seeds or use pickled jalapeños. For extra heat, add hot sauce or use serrano peppers.
  • Make-Ahead Option: You can prepare the eggs and filling separately up to 2 days in advance. Store the filling in an airtight container and assemble before serving.
  • Storage Tips: Deviled eggs should be refrigerated and consumed within 2-3 days. To prevent them from getting watery, store them in a sealed container with a paper towel underneath.
  • Customization: Swap cheddar cheese for pepper jack for more spice, or use Greek yogurt instead of mayo for a lighter version.
  • Serving Suggestions: Garnish with extra jalapeño slices, fresh chives, or a sprinkle of smoked paprika for added flavor and presentation.

Enjoy these bold and flavorful jalapeño deviled eggs as a fun twist on a classic appetizer! 🔥🥚
