Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked chicken breast, shredded or chopped
  • 1 (15 oz) jar Alfredo sauce
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 (32 oz) bag frozen tater tots
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked chicken, Alfredo sauce, sour cream, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until everything is well mixed.

Spread the chicken mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish.

Arrange the tater tots in a single layer over the top of the chicken mixture.

Bake in the preheated oven for 40–45 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and the casserole is bubbly.

Remove from oven and let it cool slightly before serving. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley, if desired.

Notes

  • Use rotisserie chicken to save prep time.

  • Keep tater tots frozen before baking for maximum crispness.

  • For added nutrition, mix broccoli or spinach into the chicken layer.

  • To make ahead, assemble the casserole and refrigerate for up to 24 hours before baking.

  • Store leftovers in the fridge for 3–4 days or freeze for longer storage.

  • Reheat in the oven for best texture, avoiding the microwave when possible.

  • Customize with different cheeses or meats for fun variations.
