Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1/2 lb ground beef sausage (or beef breakfast sausage)
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef sausage until fully browned. Drain excess fat if needed.

Reduce heat to low and stir in the cream cheese until melted and well combined. Add cheddar cheese if using, and season with salt and pepper. Remove from heat.

Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into individual triangles.

Place a spoonful of the sausage mixture on the wide end of each triangle.

Roll each triangle up, starting from the wide end and rolling to the tip, enclosing the filling.

Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the crescents are golden brown.

Serve warm.

Notes

  • Use pre-cooked sausage to save time.

  • Always drain sausage well to avoid soggy dough.

  • Let crescent dough sit at room temperature for 10 minutes before rolling.

  • Customize with Rotel, cheddar, jalapeños, or cranberry chutney.

  • For mini versions, cut dough smaller or use a mini muffin pan.

  • Reheat in the oven or air fryer for best texture.

  • These rolls freeze well—make a big batch and enjoy anytime.
