  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

24 chocolate kisses, unwrapped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  3. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll them into balls.
  4. Roll each dough ball in powdered sugar until fully coated.
  5. Place the dough balls on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

  7. Remove from the oven and immediately press a chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie.
  8. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • Chocolate Kiss Options: Try different flavors like milk chocolate, dark chocolate, white chocolate, or strawberry crème kisses for unique variations.
  • Chilling the Dough: If your dough feels too soft, chill it for 15–20 minutes to prevent the cookies from spreading too much.
  • Storage Tips: Keep cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5–7 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
  • For Extra Softness: Place a small slice of white bread in the storage container to keep cookies fresh longer.
  • Alternative Coatings: Instead of powdered sugar, roll the cookies in colored sugar or sprinkles for a festive touch.
  • Gluten-Free Option: Use a gluten-free strawberry cake mix to make these cookies suitable for gluten-free diets.
