Ingredients

Scale

For the chicken pillows:

  • 2 cups cooked chicken breast, shredded
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tube refrigerated crescent roll dough (8 rolls)
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • ½ cup seasoned breadcrumbs

For the creamy Parmesan sauce:

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ cups milk
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Pinch of garlic powder (optional)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a bowl, combine shredded chicken, cream cheese, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until creamy.

Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into 8 triangles.

Place a spoonful of the chicken mixture in the center of each triangle, then fold and seal the dough around the filling to form a pillow.

Brush each pillow with melted butter and sprinkle with breadcrumbs.

Place on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 15–18 minutes or until golden brown.

While the pillows are baking, prepare the Parmesan sauce. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute.

Slowly whisk in milk, stirring constantly until it thickens.

Add Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and a pinch of garlic powder. Stir until smooth and creamy.

Serve the warm chicken pillows with the creamy Parmesan sauce spooned over the top.
