For the filling:

  • 4 oz (115g) cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup finely chopped fresh strawberries

For assembly:

  • 20 wonton wrappers
  • Small bowl of water (for sealing)
  • Vegetable oil, for frying

For serving:

  • Powdered sugar, for dusting
  • Optional: melted chocolate or strawberry sauce for drizzling

Instructions

In a bowl, beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Fold in the chopped strawberries gently.

Place a wonton wrapper on a clean surface. Add about 1 teaspoon of the strawberry cheesecake filling in the center.

Dip your finger in water and moisten the edges of the wrapper. Fold into a triangle or desired shape, pressing to seal tightly.

Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.

Heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil in a deep skillet or saucepan to 350°F (175°C).

Carefully add the stuffed wontons in batches and fry until golden brown and crispy, about 1–2 minutes per side.

Remove with a slotted spoon and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.

Dust with powdered sugar before serving. Drizzle with melted chocolate or strawberry sauce if desired.

Notes

  • Don’t overfill the wrappers or they may burst during frying.

  • You can prep and refrigerate the wontons ahead of time—just fry before serving.

  • For a healthier version, bake or air-fry instead of deep-frying.
